ShrinkIt is an offline image compression app that allows users to compress photos from their device or camera.
We collect minimal data required for app functionality and ads support only.

We do NOT sell personal data.

We do NOT collect personal information such as:

  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Contacts
  • Location
  • Files from device (images never leave device)

2.2 Limited Technical Data Collected

The app may automatically collect:

  • User ID (App Instance ID / Advertising ID)
  • Device information
    • Device model
    • OS version
    • App version
    • Country/region (approximate)

This data is collected only for ads, analytics and app stability.

3. How We Use Data

Collected data is used for:

  • Showing ads (AdMob)
  • Preventing fraud and abuse
  • Improving app performance
  • Crash analytics

We do NOT use data for profiling or tracking across apps beyond advertising requirements.

4. Permissions Explained (Play Console Requirement)

ShrinkIt requests the following permissions:

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Used to:

  • Select images from gallery
  • Compress selected images

Images are processed locally on your device only.

We never upload your images to servers.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android ≤ 9)

Used to:

  • Save compressed images to your device

CAMERA

Used to:

  • Capture photos directly from the app for compression

Photos remain on your device.

INTERNET

Used to:

  • Show ads (Google AdMob)
  • Load ad content securely

5. Advertising (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display ads.

AdMob may collect:

  • Advertising ID
  • Device identifiers
  • Approximate location
  • Ad interaction data

6. GDPR (EU Users)

7. Children’s Privacy (Families Policy)

ShrinkIt is not directed to children under 13.

We store minimal technical data only as long as required for:

No images or personal files are stored.
